Robert Desiderio is a versatile on-screen actor and voiceover artist whose extensive career includes film, television, stage and radio.

Following his success in soaps (Search for Tomorrow, Ryan's Hope and One Life to Live) Desiderio broke into prime-time television starring with Valerie Bertinelli in the movie The Princess and the Cabbie. Since then, he has appeared in numerous television shows and made-for-television movies starring opposite Jacqueline Bisset, Ben Gazzara, Eva Marie Saint, John Lithgow, Cheryl Ladd and Kate Jackson.

Robert starred in the ABC television series Heart of the City and HBO’s Maximum Security, for which he received an Ace Award nomination for Best Actor. He is a recurring character on The Sopranos, but is perhaps most recognized for his roles as Ted Melcher on Knots Landing and as the rival bar owner Gary on Cheers.

Film credits include featured roles in Oh God, You Devil with George Burns and Gross Anatomy starring Matthew Modine. Among his many on-screen and voiceover commercial credits, Robert has been the voice for Shell Oil, Mazda, Citigroup, Boston Market, Minute Maid, Chiquita and Sizzler.

Robert’s creative talent extends beyond performing having recently added writing to his resume with two screenplays and play for the stage.
